I forgot...It's funny how time warps perception. I forgot how many of the predictions were tongue-in-cheek. Tina’s still a smart a__. ;-)<br /><br />On direct shipping, there have been setbacks, but from my perspective, based on being in the middle of the early battles, it has truly come a long way.<br /><br />Hope you enjoy the book from a historical perspective. Our main goal was to make wine fun and approachable by having it written from a younger adult's personal perspective and experience (back then anyone under 35 who was into wine was considered very young). And to get them all bylines to help support and launch writing careers. We actually took the advance from St. Martin's Press and pretty much divided it evenly between the coalition of writers. The book also acted as a philosophical guide for our chapter leaders and members.<br /><br />Just as many bloggers are doing now, we attempted to do everything within our power to democratize wine and make it part of American culture. So with this perspective, you can see why I’m such a champion of blogging and bloggers. WBC 09 was a like a flashback for me. It was awesome!
